Acadia National Park
& Patten Pond
July 1 - 14, 2001
Bar Harbor, Maine
Wow ... what a trip! Two glorious weeks in Bar Harbor, ME. The sights, the smells, and the food (lobster) were just the best. This is the crew that attended - the Laliberte family, the Canet family, and the Carrick family. We visited downtown Bar Harbor for the 4th of July festivities, drove through Acadia National Park and up to Cadillac Mountain, visited the local zoo and ocenarium, attended a lumberjack show, went on a boat trip to see lobstering and visit a seal island, caught fish and frogs, and also just enjoyed the many wonderful ammenaties of our host campground. While the weather back home was sweltering in the 90's with 100% humidity, we enjoyed crisp fresh air with highs in the low 70's during the day, and 50's at night for campfires and sleeping. Couldn't have asked for any better. We all enjoyed the local cuisine (lobster, steamers, muscles, etc) on several occasions. It truly was a specatular vacation.
