Mount Desert Island (MDI)

Mount Desert (pronounced as if it were spelled dessert) Island, or MDI, is the single largest Island on the East Coast.  It houses all of Acadia National Park, and all the wonderful harbors thereabouts.  Park Loop road does, as its' name implies, completes a loop around Acadia.  Along the way, there are many pull-offs for sight seeing and picture taking.  These pictures represent the best of what we saw here.

This was a pic-nic area that we stopped at for a quick lunch. Here we are, having our pic-nic lunch. One of the many overlooks where the beauty of the Atlantic coast can be viewed from MDI. Sure is scenic
