Memorial Weekend

For many of us, this was the first camping trip of the 2002 season - and what fun we had.  Despite the tumultuous thunderstorms on Sunday, the rest of the trip was mostly sunny and fun.  Even in the rain, the kids found ways to enjoy themselves (as seen in the picture above of the girls playing in the rain).  We had a VERY large crowd - 25 in all.  We ate well as we usually do (deep-fried turkey with Spaghetti and garlic bread on Saturday, and Fajitas and corn-on-the-cob on Sunday).  We also had the pleasure of celebrating Terry's 60th birthday - Congratulations!  We enjoyed cake and ice cream with all the trimmings.  Tom Carrick got to break in his new Kiwi camper, while the rest of us enjoyed various new camping toys.  The younger generation got into playing games of Magic the Gathering to the delight of the older, more seasoned players.
