3rd Annual HFS Camping Trip
Yogi Bear - Hagerstown, MD
July 13-15, 2002
These two pictures just say it all - "What a fun time we had"! The 3rd annual Holy Family School camping trip was a terrific success. There were over 15 families represented there, for a total attendance exceeding 55 folks. Thanks to all who came and shared in this wonderful experience. It was "Mardi Gras" weekend at Yogi's, and the festivities ran through the entire weekend. Friday afternoon Yogi traveled around the campground to hand out beaded necklaces. We all enjoyed a campfire in the evening where the kids cooked up some marshmallows. Saturday was full of activities from the mask craft to the root beer social. The many amenities of the host campground (swimming pool, put-put golf, peddle cars, game room, and playground) were enjoyed by all. We all gathered Saturday evening for a group dinner of dogs and burgers and sharing dishes of pastas and salads. We topped off the evening with s'mores and banana boats 'round the campfire. The kids also enjoyed the Mardi Gras dance under the pavilion. Sunday saw many getting in some last swims in the pool, while others packed and prepared to call it a weekend.
Thanks to ALL who attended making this a truly wonderful event. Please spend some time looking through the pictures featured below to see all the fun we had. I'm already looking forward to next years 4th annual event!
