It was a wonderful weekend of camping and companionship at the 2nd Annual HFS camping trip at Yogi Bear-JellyStone Park in Hagerstown, MD.  We had over 55 in attendance - an increase of over 20% from last year!  Thanks to all who attended to make this a truly wonderful weekend!

Everyone arrived on Friday, unpacked, and cooked themselves dinner (some had canned stew, while others cooked steak over the grill).  Friday night, we all got together for a nice campfire and some marshmallows and S'mores. A late night "Pass the Poop" card game entertained some, while sitting by the campfire and sipping on some fine adult beverages was the activity of choice for others.

Saturday was filled with campground activities - swimming pool games, water fun in the play field, put-put golf, and the ever popular rental carts.  In the evening, we all got together for a great meal.  Burgers and dogs abound, with wonderful side dishes to compliment this fine feast.  More marshmallows 'round the campfire and "banana boats" were featured for the the evening dessert.  The kids enjoyed a Pool-side dance complete with DJ, while the adults again relaxed by the campfire.

Sunday saw us packing and cleaning up from the weekend.  Most of us were out by noon - heading back to the realities of day-to-day life.  We had fantastic weather with sunny warm days, and nice cool evenings   It truly was a terrific weekend.  Again, thanks to all for coming and making it a very special weekend.  We're already looking forward to next years trip!

Lots of campfire activities (roasting marshmallows, making S'Mores, etc.) highlighted the weekend.
Rental carts were a favorite for all the kids (both big and small). Dc0036l-s.jpg (3826 bytes)

The Saturday night cookout offered plenty of great food and fellowship.
There were plenty of opportunities to take various candid photo's that didn't fit anywhere else.  Those featured here are the best of the bunch. Dc0049l-s.jpg (3563 bytes)
