This trip was a long weekend in New Hampshire and Maine.  Grammy went on her first camping trip with us, and we all had a terrific time.  We also had the pleasure of camping with Roland & Lucy, and their two wonderful daughters Angela and Erica.   Even though Roland & Lucy were "Seasoned" campers of many, many years, we were able to teach them a few new tricks.  In fact, Bruce inherited the title  "Martha Stewart of Camping" as a result of the fine cooking that was accomplished.  The dining experience included a dutch oven Lasagna dinner, followed up with a Strawberry Rhubarb cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. Not exactly roughing it!  We all had a wonderful time, and are looking forward to a family camping reunion sometime in 2001.

 We all had a terrific time camping at Wells Beach, Maine.  This was Grammy's first camping trip with us.  Despite some anxiety about the restroom accommodations, she did fine.

 

While in Maine, we did as the locals do - had a New England lobster feast.  Complete with steamed clams and lobster.  Yummy!!

We had a beautiful day at Wells Beach.  It was a very nice beach - not crowded, with lots of rocks for explorers to find small water creatures.
